No, I'm not talking about mom's turkey stew with leftover stuffing. When Jaguar was done producing their Type D race car, they decided to convert the 25 remaining chassis into a street legal drop top sportscar for the American market... and so was born the Jaguar XKSS in 1957. Only 16 were completed before a disastrous fire closed their shop down. Of course, Steve McQueen had to have one that he lovingly(?) called the " the Green Rat". Between 2016 and 2017, Jaguar built the 9 "missing" XKSS and auctioned them off for $1.5 to 2.0 million. The surviving 16 originals can easily go for over $10 million.

Yeah, I know that now.... 😔 😔 😔
It's a great replica of a very historic car - obviously - but it's nothing I'd ever have to own. McQueen nailed it.... it's a rat! 😑 😑
Rich, those close-up pics are, well...... Bravo! 😉
that is about the most flawless model I've ever found for under $1,000. Although I've been known to be wrong before LMFAO.No, I'm not talking about mom's turkey stew with leftover stuffing. AutoArt has made a lot of great models and hit a home run with many of them. I think this particular model is a grand slam home run.
