A replacement for the Porsche 904, the 906 was produced in both regular (K) or long tail (LH) versions.  I was able to see one of the Ks at the Vintage races at Mid-Ohio a number of years ago & was hooked.  I ended up getting both of these models within a month of that sighting.  Really well-done models by Minichamps.

Nice photos of the cars.

Porsche has built some great race cars over the years but they have also built some ugly race cars, but many times it is the ugly race cars that become the winning race cars. This long tail Porsche is something only its designer could love looks wise. But winning races is not a beauty contest.

Thanks very much guys.

@john3976, I agree with you on the styling of the Long Tail.  Definitely a case of function over form, which I can appreciate.  In this case, it worked too...winner of P2.0 class at Le Mans in 1966. 👍
