@marty-johnson Yeah honestly, that's about how I thought you'd answer. 😏 😏
Hi Marty,
Happy New Year to you. That's never too much info !
You've made me recall some of my best used / new car buys. Like the time I took my '76 Scirocco in for some repair I couldn't do myself. There was a brand new '78 sitting on the showroom floor. It was a special Wolfsburg Edition in white with black stripes and blacked out chrome.
The dealer had it tread in special wheels and 50series tires. Let's go for a quick drive... here's my check to hold it... I'll be back first thing tomorrow with financing.
Drove it till Summer of '85 when I got my first 4DSC..... Nissan Maxima. But that's a whole different story....
Thanks for the memories Marty !
Steve
@marty-johnson thanks so much for the detailed response. Love the spec on yours. Are those OEM wheels? I'm not sure I've seen those before & really like them.
My dad had an '82 Supra (2nd year of the 2nd gen) in maroon over dark red cloth. It was an awesome car. If I'd been just a little bit older, it could have potentially been my first car, which I would have loved!
Marty,' Drive your C8 in good health. A friend let me drive his and I must say I agree with everything you said regarding the experience. IMO the C8s are the most balanced automobile ever built in America and the looks just blow me away.
@gavin - They're aftermarket wheels from MRR. I don't particularly like any of the factory wheels offered on the Stingray. In my opinion, the Z06 wheels are a vast improvement, though.
I have my original wheels in boxes. I'm gonna sell 'em on eBay.

That explains it...no wonder I didn't recognize them. I'm with you @marty-johnson, none of the factory wheels on the Stingray look great to me. Your MRRs look excellent & improve the look considerably.
