This BoS Continental MkV is pretty darned close to my old cruiser. The opera top, side spear and interior on mine was a light Dove Gray. There are a few little errors on the model that if you had the 1:1 you'd recognize, but, for me, it's a nostalgic piece. This is either a '77 or '78 because dual exhausts weren't available in the last year of '79.

What a beast!  Its hard to believe how huge these cars were, even compared to today's cars.

Rich, I still have my old showboat. Mine is a 1979 and you are right about the exhaust. My 1/1 is turquoise with every option except the universal garage door opener. I have the Marti report and window stickers on mine. Back then everything was an option instead of today's packages. My car has so many options it has two pages of window stickers.

@bob-jackman QC in 1979 left something to be desired. Mine came with a soft ball sized void in the paint smack dab in the middle of the hood. I don't know about yours, but mine never passed emissions in the 15 or so years I owned it.

Rich QC was an unknown term, with rare exceptions, in the American car manufacturers vocabulary back then. Actually mine is pretty good. As to emissions, our state has no inspections at all. I think I've mentioned in the past that I had the catalytic converters removed from my car and the performance improved 100%.
