I've been waiting and waiting, and waiting to throw mine in the garbage - so to speak.

I've had ACME's "all new tool"  1955 Chevrolet Nomad on pre-order for ever and a week.  Hopefully, I'll see it before Valentine's Day.   Are new releases ever on time?  LoL  😉 😀

Galan, that's a nice pic of Maisto's very decent '55 - I did some wheel alterations on mine (the tracks were too wide ).    Here's some prototype pics of ACME's '55.  They're promising 1/18 '56 & '57 Nomads too.   That's their white 3-D printed '56 "tooling guide."

I don't collect 1:18 any more but for these 3 beauties I would make an exception.

That Nomad looks great and very much so in this blue/white color scheme. I have Maisto's '55 Chevrolet Nomad in red/white and it is a favorite. Great subject !

Speaking of 1/18 scale Nomads, does anyone here have the new 56 that was recently released?  based on the pictures I've seen, it looks kind of clunky?

I assume you're referring to this?   IMO, they look OK, wheel tracks a bit wide, and it sits too high (both, very common problems ) but of course, the main drawback is that it's sealed-diecast.

With ACME's all new, full function, '56 Nomad being released next year, as noted above.... for about $30 more, why bother with this KK scale?    🙄 🙄

@chris I agree Chris; for $30 more the Acme brand should be money well spent; if their previous offerings are any example.
