What we know as the Rolls Royce Phantom 1 was known as the "New Phantom" when it rplaced the Silver Ghost lineup in 1925 until it was replaced by the Phantom ll in 1929. The chassis were built in Derby, England and Springfield, Massachusetts with only slight differences between them. The American version had some changes that made the car more driver friendly and requiring less maintenance.
My best guess on this Kyosho 1927 model is it's a Newmarket Convertible Sedan... I could be wrong.
A very handsome but intimidating (looks like a real brute!) scale replica. Rich, what was the horsepower rating for this? Was it near Duesenberg specs (c.265-400)?

A beautiful model of this extremely attractive automobile. Very nice !
Beautiful model Rich. This Kyosho is new to me. Great post!
Can you imagine trying to park that car in one of todays shopping center parking lots?
When I lived in Dade County Florida (Miami) they actually had to pass a law on the size of parking spaces because shopping centers were making them so small to make more spaces that larger cars could not fit in them and to many parking lot crashes were happening due to the smaller spaces.
@chris Hardly. It was a 40/50 hp 7.7 liter straight 6.
That's surprising...and pathetically sad even by 1925 standards (for such an imposing automobile). Thanks for the info.
A fabulous model I've never seen before.
