My favorite Olds of the 60s without a doubt.
The MAROON '62 STARFIRE is identical to one that I owned in 1972. I bought it with 19,000 miles on it from a ladies estate. It was my favorite car then, and it remains my all-time favorite car still today. When Yatming came out with their 1:18 scale diecast of it, I had to buy it. Though I'm not a 1:18 scale fan, this one was a must have! Â

Having owned two 1962 1/1 Starfires these models are must haves. Both of our 1/1s were light blue metallic with white roofs.

No doubt it is one you regret selling.Â

These are truly superb! The original 1:1 car was fine, the Yat Ming models are fine, and the Mike DeTorrice photography is fine too! Â
LOL, awww, thanks, Marlowe. 😊 But really it's Oldsmobile and then Yat Ming who made it possible to point a Kodak Brownie in the car or models general direction and get a nice view of such a beautiful design. GM styling at it's best !
I too love this model and today's presentation is awesome and appreciated!
That was a time period where designs were not all cookie cutter look a likes. RIP Oldsmobile.Â
