These are two 1/18 diecast replicas of the powerful and good-looking 1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS. I believe both of these were notated as Z-16 option vehicles. Ertl actually made slight changes to the front grille to address questions about the angle. Such a later production operation is unusual. I like both overall and the red or black versions are great color options.
Love the car! Both look well made. I really enjoy your background choices - each one is so realistic and totally changes the mood from one scene to the other!
Thanks, Tony ! It was a strong and good-looking car from Chevy and made for a wonderful diecast model from Ertl Authentics. I had heard that actor Dan Blocker from the Chevrolet-sponsored "Bonanza" TV Western drove one of these Z-16 Chevelle Malibu automobiles.
Good stuff Mike. Your pictures are always a treat.
Thanks, Bob ! It is hard to go wrong with a gorgeous Malibu SS in front of the lens.
