In 1970, Steve McQueen's production company Solar Productions purchased chassis #022 for his 1971 movie "Le Mans". Since that time it was purchased and run by quite a few drivers. In 2000, it sold at auction for $1,320,000 and wound up in the hands of Jerry Seinfeld. This old AUTOart model is fairly detailed for the time and seems to be attracting some serious money on the secondary market.

Thank you Rich. This is a wonderful model well presented with great images. I have it in 1/43 but AutoArt was outstanding in 1/18 scale.

Love the 917K & the Gulf livery is just classic.  I agree on the AA 917s, nicely done & for a while, could be found very reasonably.
