Taking the technology in the Ferrari Enzo a step further, in 2005, a small scale program began to get feedback from certain customers to help them design the next generation supercar... the Ferrari FXX. A highly tuned V12 Enzo engine bumped from 6.0 to 6.3 liters now produced 789 HP. It had a unique gearbox, special Brembo brakes and custom tires by Bridgestone. It was chocked full of data processors and telemetry systems that would provide the engineers with streams of data every time it hit the track. The price was $1.3 million it you were chosen the opportunity but the car stayed with and was maintained by Ferrari. When you decided to take the car on a private track session, it would be delivered to you there accompanied by a support team. Ferrari was extremely protective of the cars seemly bordering on paranoia. In 2009, they gave an FXX to Top Gear to run a lap in some ridiculous time, but they refused to let Ben Collins who was "the Stig" at the time and had him replaced with Michael Schumacher who donned the white "Stig" gear. His lap record was 1:10.7 but was taken off the board because the FXX was deemed not suitable for road use. The FXX program ended that year with the FXX "Evoluzione".

I drove a little blue Dino one afternoon, and I cannot imagine I would come away with unsoiled undergarments, if I were to drive this road rocket. The idea does perk up one's manhood, though. Great pics and background, RS. Merci.
Beautiful pics of an impressive Hot Wheels..... I too do NOT have the ***** to drive one - no way. 😟 😟 😟 😖 😖 😖 😖
@chris Ferrari didn't even trust the Stig to drive it.
@chris I agree Chris. I don't believe we have to worry about that.
