1955 Oldsmobile Super 88 Convertible...finally finished.

The color choices for Oldsmobile in 1955 were nearly endless.  Buyers could choose from 19 solid colors and close to 80 two-tone combinations. 

This is Danbury Mint's red and white '55 Oldsmobile Super 88 convertible repainted in Chartreuse over black with matching interior.  I removed the spotlight and right-hand mirror, a couple of items I'm not fond of on this car.  I hope you enjoy this '50's era color combination!

Hi John, yes, the model is completely disassembled.  Below is a pic of initial disassembly, with interior and exterior parts bagged and body stripped.  Many of the interior subassemblies (like the dash, seats. and door panels) are also taken apart as well if there's a color change.

@pete-rovero Thanks, Pete. I did that on my '53 wrecker to dump truck conversion, but haven't been brave enough to try it on any of my good models. I had three of the DM wreckers in various conditions.
