I can relate. My last GM car was a '75 Camaro. Looked awesome but was an unreliable pos.

I went to Honda/Acura beginning in '81. Still have my gorgeous 2002 Accord V6 coupe.

My father had a new 65 Wildcat and what I remember is you could set a max speed and an alarm would sound if you exceeded the limit set

...bought it. Rare, great looking and a good driving car.
His even had the factory buckets, floor console + floor shifter....which you know is EXTREMELY rare in 'that' car.
It was dark maroon, black vinyl top, black interior.
I'm drooling on my keyboard now...so, I'll quit.
...should've bought that car! Geez.

Billie your friend's car sounded a lot like mine except that mine was green and had A/C. Also had the bucket seats with console and floor shifter and black vinyl roof and sport wheels. While the build quality was mediocre the car was quite fast.

Yours sounds sharp too. And not sure why' but, I preferred the '66 over the '67.
