A Double Dose today! 2-for-1 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air pair from Franklin Mint
1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Hardtop Sport Coupe & Convertible

My favorite car from the 50s but equipped with my least favorite option.
These FM '55 Chevy's have stood the test of time. If they didn't have the "Wart Butt" on it, they'd be perfect. I think back in the day, you could count on one hand how many of these beauties actually had the Wart, so never understood why FM put it on their models.
There biggest "boo-boo" was when they boasted of creating the "50 Millionth Chevy". There actually was a REAL gold Chevy like this, but NOT with the Wart on it. FM didn't bother to remove it when they did the repaint.

Here's mine..Slightly altered hardtop
and Indy Pace Car #437 of 5000.
Have I really owned the hardtop since '93??

Love both! Great pics of course.

Have both and love both just as FM built them.
One of my favourite cars from the 50s but is really hard to find on the internet. Been looking for this model but I only saw a few and it's just a bit expensive. But I guess this is really worth it because the detail is on point.
