After a bit of an absence, I'm going to once again try to be more consistent in my posts. I've been so busy and despite the fact I gave up the traveling 8 months ago, it seems that I just keep getting sucked back in. LOL! I guess, the better side of this, is the company I work for is growing and growing quite a bit as well as multiple store remodels and resets. For now, anyway, I am back out of the rotation for the out-of-state stores. I'll see how that plays out throughout the summer.
For today, I looked for something in my photo sets that was a classic release and a favorite of mine. Here's what I found... I hope you like it.
1950 Chevrolet Styleline De Luxe Bel Air Hardtop - a wonderful example of the 1st Bel Air from Chevrolet. This model joined my collection in 1997 (sorry, it seems I don't know for sure what month) It is the 1st of two-color combinations that FM issued, I have the other one as well, but it just doesn't speak to me the way this one does. The model is in Moonlight Cream and Oxford Maroon, which for me is just a perfect combination.

Nice to wake up to your "Model Dose" return John! And what a great model to return with! This Chevy has always been one of my favorite FM's. And yes, it does talk to me. It's so period correct with the color scheme and oozes with 50's nostalgia.

pretty much my favorite model color combo. Thanks John
Nice pictures John. Have had this model for a long time and still think it's great.
John, so glad you are back. I have this one as well.
I find this particular two tone deeply attractive John. Thank you for sharing.
Love this image. Mine is proudly displayed alongside other Chevrolet diecast cars in my collection. First rate pics of course.
