Like the Saoutchik Cadillac, we campaigned like the devil to get enough committments for these exquisite Talbot-Lago T150-C SS Teardrop Coupes of coachbuilders Figoni & Falaschi. When these two were released, MOC had to go back and do a limited run in black to satisfy demand. I'm a sucker for anything F&F and these two models are in that "in case of a fire, what would you take?" category.

Great models and pictures! Quality of these is impeccable.

Rich wasn't the history the other way around ... the burgundy was LE300 released together with the black LE50. Later because of the demand and interest a LE250 in blue was released with modifications of the rear end and removable sunroof.

Chav, I think you're correct on the numbers.

According to the review, the blue one was released in Oct 2002 and the others in Nov 2001 and Jan 2002

Model Details – The Diecast Zone

The "blue" review states: "Some collectors were annoyed at MCUSA's decision to issue another Talbot-Lago but I think this rendering only compliments the original and gives a more accurate historical representation by showcasing the variations of the marque."

@chav If that's the case then my memory really is shot. I could swear the black (#3) was the last minute addition for those that lost out with the aubergine #1 and the tutone blue #2. That's the reason I didn't get the black.

@perrone1 Note: the blue has a different interior trim and dash and no knobs to open the front windscreens.

My site review of the first one came 21 years ago and Rich's photos, I believe, very soon thereafter:  https://diecast.org/model-details/?pdb=16864
