An FYI...there's a seller on ebay offering a few models from the J Dugan collection.

Jim lived here in Southern California in Marina del Rey I believe, so I am unsure as to the connection to the seller who says he is in Ohio but as fussy as Jim was I know the models have to be almost perfect if anyone is interested. I wondered at the time what happened to his extensive collection after he passed on. One of them is item #262414895314

Seller is also a member of D4C I believe. Was recently contacted by him in regards to my 1:24 collection.

Sure miss Jimbo. A class act and a real gentleman. We worked out a trade about a year before he passed. I ended up with his C5R Compuware Corvette from GMP. It sits right here on my desk about 18 inches away in a covered Plexiglas case. Reminds me of Jim each and every time I look at it.

Glad to see his collection is starting to show up on E-Bay. There will be a lot of happy buyers for sure.

Yes, Jim was a really nice guy. We used to correspond on occasion and one day, out of the blue, he sent me a FM Agajanian #98 Special race car as a gift. I sure was shocked when learned of his passing. He gave no indication that it was so imminent.

Uncle Jimmy

Hi Guys! Two days before my Uncle Jimmy's passing,12/21/14, I was with him as we spoke about many things, God, family, and that everyday is truly a gift. All we have is today, tomorrow isn't here, so remember to always do the next right thing and to be kind to your fellow man.

In February 2015, I flew back out from Ohio to honor my Uncle and rescue the collection. As we all know, great care must be taken when handling these works of art. It took me 6 days working 12-14 hours a day to pack all his models up and prepare them for a cross country journey. It was to say the least, a very emotional and difficult time. Total weight when all said and done was 1850lbs!!! I'm not exaggerating!

Now, many of his models I display with mine, many remain in the oem boxes, and some I've given to other family members (with cases, gloves, and explicate handling instructions lol). When I do sell a model of his, which is not easy to do, all the proceeds go to the love of his life whom resides in Playa Del Rey.

I see my Uncle Jimmy everyday when I look at these, smile, and remember all the fun we had with this passion we shared.

I saw this post and just thought I would take a moment to share.

Thanks everyone!
-John D
