A favorite in my collection. I love this car for so many reasons. One is that though I may be in the minority, I've always loved the different and radical styling of the General Motors 1959 line-up. I think each brand is so unique looking and all have a look of their own. One of my favorite years for the GM cars.

I'm sad that Danbury Mint left us, because I had hoped to eventually add a hardtop for the 59 Pontiac, and then also I'd hoped for both a 59 Oldsmobile and 59 Buick.

THANKS for the great photos as always John!

Great pics! Have it, like it, DM chose an uninspired color for such a beautifully styled car.

This is one of those DM models that REALLY makes me sad they don't make them anymore.

This image came along amongst many superb efforts, and huge improvements in details, accuracy, fit, on and on. they just kept getting better. I was sure we would be seeing many more at this new higher level of enjoyment and satisfaction....... Even my '69 Road Runner was coming... i passed on this one thinking i needed to save my money for the cars coming that would have been just as good.......and closer to my most favored brands and models. Why did I do that?????????

Mark I know what you mean! Originally FM gave us the ivory 1957 Bonneville

Then the '57 LE Coral one. IMO DM knocked all their '58s out of the park, especially the HT Coupe in two tone green. I wish the '59 would have either been a sea foam green OR a pale yellow. Either color would have done the model proud, but I'm still thrilled to own it! It's well detailed and very sharp in all areas.

Those would have been great color choices for the 59, Phil. The hardtop was to be in a medium blue.
