A nice follow up to the '49 Caddy. An interesting story behind this one. My Grandson picked this up for me at a yard sale for $15, it had been salvaged from a house fire. The outer box has some smoke damage, but the styro liner and model were not damaged. Thanks for looking guys.😊

That’s an amazing backstory for one of the best deals ever Geno. I’m with Tony, one of my favorites too. My earliest family car memory is of our ‘49 Olds fastback so I had to get this model. Congrats!

The 1949 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 considered to be the very first muscle car. In the earlier days of the D4C Dan Vincent, a D4C member campaigned long and hard until Danbury Mint produced this gem.  I don't know whatever happened to Dan. it appears he did migrate over to the current site.

Another great score for Geno...good going! Love the model, the pics and the setting. Mine is parked proudly in my display.
