stunning color Geno. Another one I picked up from our short lived suburban Melbourne DM retailer. Hollis is the owner another new customer or just a very infrequent visitor?

Oooooo!!!!

I'd have broken my back to get to the mail box for that puppy!  I asked DM for a gunmetal gray 57 Bird with the same wire wheels, red interior and matching-color hard auxiliary top. Like this one:

I see so many baby birds with these wire wheels which do look great. Being a purist when it comes to originality I have to admit that it bothers me that many think these were available when these baby birds were new. The first time the Kelsey Hayes wire wheels were available on a Thunderbird was on the 1962 Sports Roadster and as an option for the other 62 Birds.

Yep, too true. On Minter's site, they fess up to this but most people opt for the higher price, but much nicer looking wires. I think I probably would too.
