Automodello Models, DO NOT POST ANY PICS OR NEWS
Please do not post any pics or news regarding Automodello Models on this Forum until further notice.
The owners of Diecast.org, Legacy Diecast, and Mint Models launched and funded the Automodello line of 1:24 Scale models for Jim Cowen. We selected and reviewed the models for Jim Cowen. We also used all of our connections in the entire 1:24 Scale industry to successfully promote and launch this line of models. We also announced, listed, and promoted the line to all of you. We promoted the line to the 1:24 Scale Collectors of Diecast.org , The entire D4C Club , and the entire base of Franklin Mint 1:24 Scale Collectors. We also contacted our entire dealer network to get other dealers to carry and promote the models. This is the only way the line could get off the ground.
We have found the owner of Automodello, Jim Cowen, to be completely dishonest and untrustworthy. He has violated every single part of our original agreement to produce and market the models.
Jim Cowen is not honoring his commitment to us. His latest action that has brought us to the breaking point, is to not ship any 1:24 scale models to us until he sells a certain quantity direct to consumer, (to make himself some extra money) all while spewing lies to us during the entire process.
The single most important thing to us is honesty and integrity and we will not compromise on that.
We certainly will not let him use this Forum and Website to promote the line of models we financed and launched.
Until Jim Cowen and Automodello honor the spirit of our original agreement. We will no longer promote or assist with the models.
We do maintain a great relationship with Raffi, as Michelle, Kevin, and Raffi worked together at The Franklin Mint for many years, and he works with us to make the D4C models.
Michelle Peters and Kevin McGrath,

Sad to hear. You may want to remove Automdello from your "Car List & Reviews" section.

WHOA! My Dad taught me a lesson a long time ago that applies here.
If you want to be treated 'professionally'; then, carry yourself 'that way'.
Well .... This could explain why folks here, have unfilled orders from a year ago
We will try to get him to honor his legal agreement first
Thank you for your support!
Thank you to Dennis, Bill and Bob who have all called with words of support! I can not tell you how pleased I am to know that I am joined in this industry with others of strong character and conscience! Have a Merry Christmas to all!!
Their models are way overpriced anyway.

Michelle, I've had personal 1:24 die-cast dealings with you a few times over the years and you have always been a voice of reason and a person with good character and integrity. You've always made things right with me and I have nothing but the utmost respect for you.
When a situation like the Cowen one happens, it is disappointing and confusing, because all of us want to believe and trust in those we work with and do business with. When someone isn't living up to their word and obligations it hurts and so disappointing.
Based on all you've stated in your posts, you have given Mr. Cowen every opportunity to be straightforward and upfront in his dealings with you, the Zone, and with his customers. Now with being called out on this public Forum, let's pray that he will step up and be the man many had faith that he was in the first place. If he doesn't, it's another life's lesson that we all learn from.
Thank you for your professionalism Michelle. We need more people like you at the helm.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

same experience..
with Mr Cowan. He reneged on a deal he offered me after I was basically overcharged for 2 of his models because I wouldn't post a grovelling retraction on this forum. An example of his duplicity is claiming Automodello and Diecasm are completely separate entities when he is CEO of both!
I have unsubscribed from their web site.
I do not have any of their overpriced models
Unfortunately, it happens to the best of us on occasion. Happened to me in 1992 and I had to take bankruptsy because of it. Hope that doesn't happen to you.
Hard to trust after something like this happens. Hope Cowen comes to his senses and makes things right.
