I echo your comments 100%.  I have both as well, and in my opinion, the only real shortcoming is that DM didn't also give us one in WHITE.  Since Chrysler only did the car in 3 different colors, RED, BLACK, and WHITE, it would have been nice to have all three represented in our collections.  Aside from that, the two we got are nice models.  

I have this Regimental Red beauty.  So it's not absolutely perfect.  Very few models are, imo.  You can always find something.  I also have the red 1:18 by Maisto.

What were the gripes about this model? I just remember so many people complaining that I never bought one.

Primarily the height of the rear fenders or the lack thereof.

Love your pics. Many had issues with the lack of height or slope of the tail fins if I recall. I passed on this one.

John, your pictures are great as usual.  Thanks for sharing.  I wish I had gotten this one.  I have all the others though.
