Tony,

Below are excerpts from two of your many FM/DM Mint new Diecast car release reviews from many years ago. Believe it or not, your reviews have influenced many purchases of Diecast cars.

Do you ever look back on these? If yes do you reconsider them based upon their popularity/value?

1. -“Other than that the model is a triple black version of the red machine”

2. -“Back when I rated these models on a ten-scale, I could never fully apportion such a gorgeous creation. But a 13, this opulent lady certainly deserves.”

Do I look back on these? Rarely. I have most on Word documents but find little use in re-examining them. They were a labor of love back then and company reps (all dear friends) both TFM & DM, mentioned many times that the reviews and photos helped to sell many models. I also, undercover on some models, wrote the ad pieces that you saw in print.

The various models that they sent which registered the greatest affection, are the easiest to recall, almost every word I wrote at the time. Thanks for a nice reverie nudge!

Tony:  When I purchased a car, I actually printed out your reviews and put them with all the paperwork that came with the cars in binders.  I so glad I did as the review part of the new site is not easy and I always enjoyed reading what you had to say about each model.  I blame you for my addiction.  LOL Grinning

LOL! And I blame you for a wonderful 'little car internet friendship' that I'll always cherish!  Wink

Many of Tony's wonderful reviews and beautiful photos have led me to hit that order button.
