The 1941 Lincoln Continental Cabriolet began from a 1938 sketch by Edsel Ford based off the Zephyr that was handed to designer ET Gregorie to create a concept car. Edsel drove it to Florida and evidently impressed his friends enough that he started receiving orders. Production began in December of 1939 and a coupe version soon followed. 400 of the designate 1941 Continental were built. This an FM first re-issue of the old tech model that offered a bit more refinement.
Rich, I have the model in maroon, blue and white and think the image does the 1/1 quite well. Great pictures.
@bob-jackman I still have the original in "Coach Maroon" too. I only wish they also had done a post war coupe ala Sonny Corleone's.
I agree with you Rich. Actually I would have liked a pre war and post war coupe. The post war Continental is distinguished by the fact that it is recognized by the Classic Car Club of America as a full classic.
All things considered, this is a nice model. At least I must have thought so every time I bought another one. I have five colors in this model.

@jcarnutz Jeeze! I didn't realize there were that many repaints. They must have sold a ton of these to keep pumping them out.
