FIN-TASTIC! Perhaps the most subtle of GM's fins for 59 were on the Pontiac. And also one of the most beautiful of the GM '59 line-up.

Phil, in comparison to the 59's, I always thought the 60's were pale in style in comparison.

In 1973, I purchased a '59 exactly like this one for $50 from my Jr. High science teacher. It was his mother's car. Low mileage, but lots of rust. Ran like a top, though. Drove it for a couple years and then gave it to my then girl friend.
I sure wish I had kept it and restored it. Also wish that DM had made one in this color.
Great memories. Great car.

Has anyone made a hardtop by using the top & windshield from a similiar '59-'60
GM hardtop ? It sounds quite doable.

George, these were gorgeous cars...
...I learned how to drive in a 1959 Pontiac 4 door Starchief this exact color. I thought I would never be able to take a corner with the size of this land yacht! I think all the GM 1959 big finned land yachts were beauties!

I agree. I don’t like most the 60 GMs. The 1960 cars in general weren’t that great.
