I secured the 1907 RR SG for which I was negotiating, and I am in discussions regarding another FM Rolls Royce, the copper-bodied 1924 Silver Ghost.  eBay.de is a minefield on the best of days, and with such detailed models one can feel like putting on the jousting attire and getting the old nag out of the stable.  Today, when I asked one seller detailed questions his response was: Look at the photos all the detail is there.'  No, I won't be doing business with him, and after him I encountered a man who, when questioned about a half-sentence in his response replied that he had not made any such partial statement.  Screensave works wonders in cases such as this and when presented with the evidence, silence ensued.  Yup, it's been a kick.  And, last but not least, the aforementioned copper Rolls Royce looks good, but I asked questions, (yes, Chris, I have learned well at the feet of the master) and was told 'the model has been in a glass case and was only taken out for the photographs.  It is in like-new condition.'   Have a look at the pics and see if you believe the sales pitch, for I have doubts.

By the way, a great tip for perusing eBay offerings is to employ a set of headphones and listen to Beethoven's Piano Concertos.  Music does soothe the savage beast...

For a model in a glass case and in 'like new' condition, I'm seeing a lot of dust and dirt underneath. And, oh my, has the rear axle been broken badly with an ample 'fix" of gobs of glue on the left hand side of the car? Also missing the headlight lens on left side of car (Photo right).

This one is certainly not perfect. Interesting responses to your questions.

@perrone1   Yes, that rear axle is what I noticed first, and then the dust and overall condition that did not look as if the model was kept under 'lock and key.'

@david-green  This was my first thought and then my instinct was to steer clear of this item, which makes it difficult to find one that is not in the UK, where it will cost me an arm and a leg to ship it to Germany.

RE the responses to my questions: I was warned before I arrived that eBay.de is not the same as eBay.com, and I have had to put on my armor and mount my steed on numerous occasions, as here it is only a good deal if the buyer comes out with the short end of the stick.  Win-Win is not a common philosophy, here.

faults already picked up. This is one model, (among most others) I would not buy without the original box. It would be susceptible to further damage through wrapping and shipping, especially if shipped with ebay's appalling global shipping.  Give it time, a nice MIB example with show up eventually, there seems to have been plenty produced.
