This is one of my favorite Danbury Mints because yes it’s a hot rod and I love hat rods especially ones with flames and the midnight blue paint is gorgeous this whole model is bad to the bone and it’s old too 1997 but it still holds up today

I'm with Bob on this as well.  One of my favorite Hot Rods.  DM did a great job with all the hot rod cars and trucks.

All mines are sequential prototypes from the early days of DM hot rodding. One day I have to sit down and identify the differences.

I have it and love it.  For me it was venturing outside my comfort zone, as Hot Rods and Customized cars are not really my cup of tea.  But the '40 Ford being a personal all-time styling favorite, I had to have this one.  But like trying to eat just one potato chip and always failing, I've since added some other customized 1:24 scale diecasts to my collection.  You know what "they" say, Never say Never!  Smile THANKS for the great pics!

@chav, I'd enjoy seeing more of your cars in your cabinets.  Great shot of that '40 Hot Rod.

That's just the Franklin Mint Speedster in 1/24, it is in this cabinet just because it doesn't have a box.

Probably the most interesting model in this shot is the copper RR ... I am overdue to finish the story on that RR that I started here many months ago...
