Has anyone ever purchased an IXO model?  I came across a ‘65 Ford Galaxie 4 door sedan on eBay and it looks pretty nice, although it appears to be a static model with no working features. Just wondering if it’s true 1/24 scale. Price is $99 + SH.

Pete there are a number of European and Russian/East European 1/24s from what appears to be the same manufacturer produced under different brand names. Heres a Russian Model A, and a British Morris that I bought as Hachette versions that I see are now also being sold as IXOs. Some are also sold as Whitebox. Hachette have made a large number of Citroens, I added some pics of 2 Traction Avantes I have to Rich S’s recent post. Haven't searched for them in a while and yes I see they are making a few American cars. While Mexican, the presentation and quality appear the same. They are static, they’re fine on display, good, but nowhere near mint quality.

Be interested in your opinion when it arrives Pete. The Galaxie was sold here in Australia, but only that 4 door if I recall correctly. Had a good look over most of mine after your post Pete. I may have been a bit harsh with the "nowhere near mint quality" assessment. "they're just not mint quality" would have been more fitting. And they are improving. While still static, details such as door handles, wipers and dash detail are now very good.

Thanks for your further assessment Geoff.  I made the purchase and I'll post pics when it arrives.  Unfortunately, the ETA is January 7th!

I have this Galaxie on order from Mexico.  Shipping price is obscene and it is sitting in a postal facility in Mexico since 12/1 with no movement.  I ordered it specifically because it is a sealed model with no opening features to distract from the overall appearance.  I will share pics when it arrives unless someone else does so before then.

Yikes, you've got me worried now! What date did you order it? Let's hope it gets moving soon.  Please post pics when it arrives.  I'm sure you'll get yours before I get mine!
