A fine set-up here with a real cast of characters ! That's a great old '60's song from Peter and Gordon. I believe Peter Asher was the brother of Jane Asher, who was the girlfriend of Beatle Paul McCartney at the time.

Harried single parent and retired actress Laura Dern hurriedly gathers up her flock and, attempting to deflect attention from Roary, impulsively screams out "Judy, Judy, Judy" as she points to the attractive blonde sitting on a nearby bench.  In an ironic twist of fate the hapless blonde police groupie had been trimming her nails while waiting for Officer Gene Kelly to happen by on his daily foot patrol. The sight and sound of Judy's clipper triggers an explosive PTSD outburst from Roary, based on his past painful experience with heavy handed bear manicurist Claude Chappeau-Gris.  Claude, sensing a law suit materializing, selfishly decides to flee the area as he feels the bounding bruin's leash snap under the strain.  As Officer Kelly empties his revolver on Roary with minimal effect, he watches helplessly as Judy is carried off; her leg firmly clamped in Roary's powerful jaws.  Calling for backup Kelly sighs deeply as it dawns on him that his plan to ask Judy to the upcoming police ball is now a definite no-go.

thanks for stepping in Jack.......I`ve already botched all the answers to viewer responses......at least now,with your names and faces narrative,folks will have a focus point for their concerns......it sounds as if this retelling may be along the lines of a song and dance routine....always a crowd favorite and sure to please

@john-barry If Quinn Martin was still with us he would tell you..... a producer can never go wrong with a police drama involving an emotional bear and a down on her luck blonde dame.
