This Danbury Mint 1956 Ford F-100 pickup I believe was released on or before 1995 (if anyone knows, please post) because my second pickup was FM's 1996 Christmas 1940 Ford pickup. This model was quite an upgrade for DM. In those early years, DM was still #2 with content and finish behind FM although for $10 less. I was impressed with the badging being painted 3-D castings, and although unwired, the valve cover livery identified the engine as the optional 272 OHV V8 rather than the "Thunderbird" 292. The design team responsible for their truck models always seem to have been at the technological forefront with their car models lagging behind during those years.
Have it, love it. An oldie but a good one.
