Is this exciting news? Has Highway 61 gone out of the die cast car business? I didn't realize that they made many 1:24 scale cars.
Only these Challengers as far as I know? they were less detail than the DM/FM models, and lower cost but VERY VERY presentable, with photo etch, fine fit, excellent shape, and all around a pleasing addition to any collection. I have two from H-61 And I heard DM will release one from these molds? and now Acme has them.
I see they are already planning a 1:18th Gurney Trans Am cuda! That's a model I've been waiting for since I WAS 10.
1/24 collectors are hungry, maybe they will sell well and produce more 1/24
Great to see some 1:24 activity. Here's an idea for the Challenger tooling...
...How about the 'Vanishing Point' movie car?! I don't believe it's been done in 1:24.
I've already got the FM HEMI Challenger / purple; so, I'm not sure I'd be buying this 'Lemon'-version. But, the VP-car...maybe.
I'll be waiting for 1:24s I'm interested in. I'm rooting for ACME.
Ohhhhhh i love that idea
I have three of the Highway 61 cars
The detail is very nice and they display well. Just the price has increased a lot but i did buy mine over 5 yeas ago so i guess that would be right for today's dollar I am excited to se someone willing to make 1:24 cars again. And MOPARS
you got my money guys
Would love to see the Sam Posey, Autodynamics Trans Am Challenger in 1:24th !!!!!???
That's a great idea too.
NAPA Auto Parts stores sold a Lemon Twist Highway 61 Challenger with a black interior, blue side stripe, but no vinyl top.
Revell did a diecast kit of the VP Challenger in 1/25
I built it. I just can't find any pictures of it at the moment.
Thanks for the tip Richard.
Just read this announcement and this is great news! My order is placed!

ACME needs to concentrate on 1:24 diecast. We will keep them busy and make them money.

Well...very interesting. I have two of H61 Challengers already, both black.
So this one could make a nice companion. I am going to a take a day or two to think about it.
