Isn't that just like Chrysler?
Ever since I can remember, if they get one car that sells, they redesign they're entire fleet to look very much alike.
I disagree! I think the new mustang front end looks great!
No matter what name they put on it it is still just a 4 door passenger car and nothing special. Getting rid of the rear doors would be a step in the right direction. Then they would have something to work with.
IMO 345HP and RWD for under $30K is special indeed!...
not to mention a fully independent suspension front and rear as adapted from the E class Benz.
The new American sourced GTO on the new...
zeta RWD platform should be a treat. Maybe we will see it within 2 years???
I bet it comes equipped with a child seat and a bag for groceries, LOL
I love the new Mustang, its the only new american car besides the Vette that I'd love to own.
I like it. A LOT.
Bob, if you were in your 30's, with kids and were wishing for a family sedan that would not only please your wife (without her suspecting the power under the hood), and would also allow some performance when you put your foot down, you might change your opinion.
When I was in my 30's and had two young children the only car we had was a 1970 Duster 340 with a 4 speed. I will admit that my wife did not drive at that time. When she got her license we bought a new 1990 Mustang. I had to get the 4 cylinder because my son turned 16 and would be driving the Mustang also. If not for the insurance it would have been a V8. My only issue is putting the Charger name on a 4 door, not the RWD or the power. It's a little like calling the Chrysler 300 station wagon a Magnum. It is still a station wagon no matter what the name.
Problem with those 4 doors sedan is that it doesn't matter if it has a 345 hp Hemi, all that power will be wasted pulling all that weight from all those luxury accessories these cars have. (navigation systems, cd changers, dvd players, super luxurius leather seats, the extra weight from the power windows, and the extra weight from those 2 extra doors)Its like having a v10 on a huge suv, its just necessary power to pull all that iron.
Martin, my brother has the Magnum Hemi. I drove the car a couple of weeks ago and believe me, it sure pulls the iron around !! I wasn't sure about the car till I drove it, it's quite impressive. AND, I'm an old 60's Big Block guy.
Martin, you exaggerate! None of the things you listed add that much weight to a car....
on a '57 Corvette power windows actually weighed less
than the roll up variety. Maybe the four doors add a little
but not enough to matter much.
If they could at least put that Hemi in a 2 door coupe....
Lets throw away the rear doors!
Martin......It has finally dawned on me.........You're just pulling everyones chain
