Put white letter tires and beauty rings on this one.photo no longer available
Hollis; White lettering is great on the tires,....but,.....chrome rings are a NO! NO!
Sorry John but plain white rims are just to drab for me hence the chrome rings. Anyway no other
Dodge die cast car has this look.
It looks great!

If you mean a "no no" as Dodge never made them that way.
They did. You could order trim rings with the dog dish type hubcaps.
As a matter of fact there is a 1971 model year add in magazines showing
An intended 1971 Dodge Challenger T/A with this set up.
That car never got to be a production car, but the wheel combo was available.
I owned two Dodge Chargers '68 and '71 the Magnum wheels on both cars had what they called beauty trim rings. That's why I put these on the Daytona.

John, it's great to see you. I don't know if it's you or me who's been outa the loop. But...
Have missed your comments and humor. Any new car additions or notorious accidents and hospital stays (inquiring minds want to know)? just good to see ya.
I happen to like the rims on this car. I remember in high school, some of the guys (who could afford it) were putting chrome and mag rims on everything! Oh, the horror! All the geezers of the time were bad mouthing this trend. It's funny. My budget only allowed me a can of black spray paint to paint the rims of my '57 Fairlane and buy four chrome baby moons from JC Whitney. I thought my car was the coolest.
I agree that this looks excellent. Very nice !
