'60 Chrysler 300 F
HIGHLIGHTS
- The biggest, best and most historic 300 possibly in the world
- NASCARS all time flying record holder
- One of 6 300F Specials built by Chrysler to compete in the sand at Daytona. All six showed up, they placed 1st thru 6th. This was the winner at almost 145 MPH with Daytona super star Gregg Ziegler behind the wheel
- Perfectly preserved for 50 years
- An original unrestored car
A Pont-A-Mousson 4 speed gear box was installed and the rear axle ratio changed to 2.93 for top end performance. The cars were drastically underrated at 400 HP.
How rare is a manual 300F - what a great car
What Paul said !! How many of these were ever made with a manual transmission ?
Great color combo plus four-on-the-floor…..where do I sign????

Thank God George doesn't own this car, the hood would never be opened to see that great intake.
Very pretty car.
A sporty elegance with power, not a bad combination.
John, Ron, Paul go back to the original post. I've added some facts about this rare car.
Steve, thanks for the update.

Looks great Steve.
Sporty, luxurious, classy, powerful...that car had it all in 1960. The "banker's hot rod" indeed.

This black beauty would be so nice in my collection!
I loved the 60, 61, and 62 Chryslers.

I thought you would like that George. But in reallity, you would probably be one of the best keepers for this beauty, as I know you are a big fan of anything pre '70's. I know it would be in good hands.
Yes, George........How about it DM?
