PICS (1:1) I love '38 Buicks. Take Larry's '36 Special below, add two years, two windows, one carb..
87 cubic inches and about 50 horsepower, and Katy, bar the door!
Sure the upholstery materials are wrong as are the K&N air filters, HEI distributor and fat radial tires on later, wider rims. But it's still got the 320 inch straight eight, and I love the way these coupes look without running boards. I could live with this one, fer sure!
Nice, but put the running boards back on.....to me it looks unfinished.

I agree it needs running boards. I had a 39 Chevy Master
Deluxe Opera coupe and the fenders need the running boards for support. Most street rodders have to reinforce the fenders when they pull the running boards to keep them from bouncing.
Ad on eBay says that the seller actually has them, but they need to be recovered. What a fun.......
driver this thing would be!
Good point, Bob. I didn't know that.
Late thirties coupes are almost always cool from GM,
Ford and Chrysler Corp. The Buick would definately be a fun ride.
Now THIS is a very nice car! I'd install the running boards on it too!
Seller "in your backyard" often lists nice, original, unrestored pieces on eBay...........
although he may just be a broker. Primary business is a German car dealership/repair shop, I think. Ever hear of Auto Haus Los Gatos, Marlowe?
No, I haven't. Los Gatos is in Northern California near San Jose.
Next yard over then, LOL! Should have Googled mapped it before I opened my mouth!
Beautiful car.
I agree on all points.
LOL!
