I wonder if there has EVER been an auto enthusiast that didn't love this car?

Great car, great color! Why has DM not been all over the 63 Riv?

Good question Marlowe...I love it! Didn't care much for the '65.

I liked the exposed lights.

It's all a matter of taste...

The '63 and '64 Rivieras were the "classic" style....this is reflected in the values as established by the various blue books. The '65 took the classic original and "screwed with it... tacked on rear billboard bumper, reconfigured front quarters to accommodate the stacked headlights (which were cheaply constructed and trouble prone). About the only saving grace for the '65 was the cleverly reworked dash and IP. The standard steering wheel is beautiful on the '65 but the wood wheel option was still avaiable and that's the desirable one.
I have owned the 63-64 Rivs and they do turn heads wherever they go.... Simply beautiful. The '65 looks, to me, like GM thought they needed to do SOMETHING to the car but all they succeeded in doing was to mess with perfection...

Now that is the question we are all asking? Great looking car. Great color combo.
