Bruce, dark blue??? There was NO dark blue 48 Chrysler from either mint.

DANBURY MINT gave us:
Champion Blue (New Yorker)
Sumac Red (New Yorker)
Dove Gray (Town & Country)
Regal Maroon (Town & Country)

FRANKLIN MINT gave us:
Noel Green (Town & Country)
Sumac Red (Town & Country)
Military Blue (Town & Country)

Beautiful model. If I collected 40s cars, this would definitely be in my collection.

Bruce it’s the lighting that’s all. It’s darker in person then shown here

Mine is parked in the display case next to its direct competitor, '48 Buick Roadmaster conv.

Phil, sorry you passed on the blue 57 Caddy, it's a beautiful car. You'd love it.

Prefer the New Yorker over the Town & Country. Excellent pics!

Pic Thanks George and Phil. Yes, I thought that mine was a dark blue by comparison to the model first pictured here, but it could be the same color. Mine is Danbury Mint. I've just this minute taken the pic in a light box and here she is. In any event, mine is not really dark blue like a Navy blue, but at the time that is how it looked in my minds eye - silly old geezer, eh.
