PICS: My WISH LIST 1:24 die-cast car #36 1956 MERCURY

As a young boy in the early 1960's, I remember thinking that the '56 Mercury was just about the coolest looking car in my neighborhood. For some reason, the side-sweep chrome and two-tone paint schemes seemed to flow perfectly and almost looked like the car was customized, yet it wasn't.

Of course you could see "Ford" in the styling, as their bodies were certainly related, but the Mercury seemed to shout with its beauty, "Look at me, I'm ritzier than my Ford cousin".

Speaking of those two-tone paint jobs, on man, were there some "can't help but say, WOW" ones! Seemed any color Mercury put with white, it just splashed right in to your line of sight, and you noticed it.

And from a 1:24 scale reproduction viewpoint, here is how you make the investment return the best bank for you buck. You can give us a Hardtop, a convertible, and even the exciting (simulated) wood sided station wagon. Plus, the re-paint possibilities for all three body styles are practically endless. I'd buy 'em all!

Oh yea, this '56 Mercury would be a smash hit with collectors, I know it sure would with me! And it would be a popular release in 1:24 scale. And isn't that what it's all about?

I want to buy this one right now, is it ready yet? The "Big M" for '56 oozes with excitement!

Hard top & Convertable - lovely cars. Not the wagon though with.

its ghastly applique faux wood panels.
