I was going to start a pony car topic, but since John Merritt started Mustang week I figured it was a good opportunity to piggyback some of my Mustangs off of his topic.  John's pictures are first class, so I won't be posting pics of cars he's already posted!  So, here's the first set, 1964 1/2 to 1965.   1966 to follow.

I do think that Ford's first compact car should be included since the Mustang shared many mechanical components with the Falcon.  After the disaster that was called Edsel and the millions of dollars spent to bring it to market the brass at Ford was a little gun shy about releasing an all-new model.  The shared components with Falcon kept cost down and lessened the risk.

Looking good! Most could pass for 1:1.

Great presentation.  How could you not like a Mustang back in the 60's.
