You amaze me JB....where did you get that baby pic of me and my family?  It brings up a lot of emotion for me.  This one captured the moment when I first realized what profession I wanted to follow in life.  I was sure impressed.  I won't lie to you...the donut the Sherriff is holding impacted my decision as well.  It also answers a troubling concern I have carried my entire life.....what happened to my older brother and sister?  I was brought up with two siblings but I had a very distant memory of two more; which my folks refused to discuss.  Now I know the bull got them and I understand why.  Lastly, the pic also explains my life long fondness for the beaver too.

These two ladies and the wee lad are on the way home after purchasing "The deal of the day" from Slippin' Jimmy Auto Sales.  They must live more than 5 miles from the lot otherwise Jimmy's conditional warranty with guaranteed deductible would still be valid.

DISCOVERIES YOU MADE THAT FATEFUL DAY,SWINGING THAT STEEL MONTGOMERY WARD SPATULA, WOULD SOMEDAY EVOLVE TO THE OPENING OF THE VERY FIRST IN THE CHAIN OF "MOUNTAIN OYSTER" CAFES...AND OF COURSE EARN YOU THE GRATITUDE OF A NATION WHO KNEW YOU ONLY AS "FLAPJACK" DODDS

I was sure impressed.  I won't lie to you...the donut the Sherriff is holding impacted my decision as well.  It also answers a troubling concern I have carried my entire life.....what happened to my older brother and sister? POOR LITTLE SUSIE HAD SUCH DIFFICULTY STANDING ERECT.SHE HAD BECOME QUITE RESILIENT AT TAKING A FALL WHILE CAUSING NO HARM.HER LAST TRIP THAT DAY,WOULD AT LEAST TAKE HER SOMEWHERE WARM.

Lastly, the pic also explains my life long fondness for the beaver too.

DESPITE THE WAY THE BEAVER DAMMED YOUR OLDER BROTHER FOR CHEWING ON HIS TAIL, THEY REMAINED LODGE BROTHERS LONGER THAN ANYONE KNEW

Just for clarification JB, I am the child mesmerized by the Sherriff's presence and to a lesser degree the beaver.  The sibling holding the MW spatula was my brother Ivan Harold Dodds.  He was taken by the bull attack that also claimed his tragically curious sister Olivia Patricia that fateful day.  Sister Susie Anne bore witness to the tragedy, narrowly avoiding the flailing hooves by her prone posture. She kept Ivan's bent spatula as a motivational keepsake and became the success story of our family by opening an extremely successful chain of pancake restaurants.  Many say her business idea and steadfast determination was generated out of respect for her lost siblings.  I believe this to be the case as well, because she in fact named her franchises using the initials of their given names.

Ummm...yeah....yeah that's basically, sort of, it!  Perhaps to be more accurate to my recollection the chain should have been named Bull Plop but that might have put diners off a tad.

@jack-dodds

I sure wouldn't eat there with a name like that.

I do hear, from a kitchen confidante, that one of the reasons the flapjacks were so darn tasty was because Susie Anne used Vanilla in her batter.

Sir J. Barry raised a few acres of the Heirloom Vanilla Bean plants imported from Madagascar.

He, so I've heard, made Susie Anne an offer on those beans that just couldn't be passed up.

A Vanilla Pecan Waffle was to be on the all new menu but Covid happened and restaurant crowds grew thin.

If 'n when I have more info I'll keep you posted.

there ARE no beans,only Castoreum

"Castoreum is a compound that is secreted by beavers to mark their territories. Due to the unique diet of beavers, Castoreum has a pleasant scent and is used in vanilla flavouring"
