@perrone1 LOL......I owned a mustard yellow (in and out) '74 so my ties run deep.  Mind you mine was the 2300 cc 4-speed so it actually could get up and go.....kind of....in a way.  I bought it one year old from a friend's wife....I never would have selected that color as new.

@jack-dodds

I bought my wife a 1971/72? Vega, in yellow. 4 cylinder automatic, in 1974. She loved it and it gave her great service until we traded it for a new 75 Monte Carlo that my daughter called the Mommy Carlo.

@perrone1 Wow.....I would say you got lucky with that Vega.  My friend Randy and his father both bought new light metallic green Vegas in 1971, the GT and 2dr. sedan respectively.  They were both an absolute nightmare and were constantly back at the dealership for repairs, to the point that they got rid of them very soon.  Too bad because IMHO the GT was a nice looking car.

Good choice - either one. And you, my friend, are the furthest thing from boring!!  Wink

@jack-dodds Jack, that green one is like the one my Uncle AC had. The 4 popper bit the dust, so he dropped a 283 in it. It was a pretty fun little car after that. Some lady ran a red light and broadsided him totaling the car.😢

@geno There were very many Chevy Vegas and Pontiac Astras that had the 283 or 327 engine and suspension upgrade; the ones done correctly were awesome!  Most didn't survive though as one would expect.
