Always liked that song. Gee, remember way back when he was called "Little" Stevie Wonder?Â
Â
OK, what's the intense attraction that the rabbit has with that jug? Corn sqeezin's?? Â
Little Stevie ?..........sure do....."Songs in the Key of Life"...was quite the ground breaking album
careful with your talk of bunnies and spirits......you`ll awaken the Sleeping Giant of the North !!!
the premise (in my head) was of a wise-ass bunny that watched our dangerous duo prepare for a little "wabbit hunting" trip........ somewhere out into the wilds of America.......at one point,Bunny even snuck into the Scout to ride along on the adventure......he dreamed of poaching gas-station delicacies that the boys might be careless enough to toss in the back seat
whenever the boys got out to scan the horizon and talk strategy, like Axe Hunting for small game, Bunny would sidle up to them and do one of his favorite Bugs Bunny bits ........generally including a few "heavens to murgatroyd"s and at least one "whyyyyyyyyyyyy....we oughtta moidilize them !!!"
It never occurred to the boys to question the presence, from time to time,of a third voice among them that seemed to goad them into borderline dangerous activities.....you can surely thank the squeezins for that
Little did the shine sippin' low-tech hunters Clem and Cletus realize that cagey bunny Thumper Warner (a retired Bugs voice coach at WB Studios) was shouting out his Bugs Bunnyisms not to cheer on their hunt but rather to caution the resident bunnies to "warren up" cuz the axes would soon be flyin'. Truth be known, the odds of any of them getting kayo'd by an axe thrown by these two boozed up backwoods buttheads was about the same as a meteorite strike down the bunny hole. Thumper's next chore was to hide the Scout keys until the louts sobered up.

Thumper Warner ? yeah,,,, we all knew Thumper back then....it was his Pop ya had to watch out for.....he`d nip ya just as soon as say hello....carried around a briefcase..... askin` anyone who was careless enough to make eye contact:"When`s the next train out of this pop stand?"
