Hi All,

I feel like I'm losing my grip here, but I can't fine Tony Perrone's "The Lost Archives" or whatever the exact title of Tony's excellent write-ups on 1:24 Danbury and Franklin Mints is.  Perhaps it's right in front of my face and I'm missing it?

Can somebody please post a link to it and I will try to figure out what my problem is here?  LOL

Much appreciated! 🙂

They were there for some time when the site was new. It took me weeks to upload them. Somehow they slipped back into oblivion. When they were still part of the forums (Listed in Forum 24) I made the thread a 'sticky'. After so many were lost the second time, someone apparently deleted them all. Lost again.  I Dont Know

@perrone1 Such a loss to the history of the mint models. Fortunately we still have Tony and Rich Sufficool with us and contributing on a daily basis  here on the forums.

I know hindsight is 20/20, but that archive should have been published, I wish I would have at least copied and printed it!

Are you guys talking about all of the old diecast reviews that Tony did from the old site?  I am trying to follow, because I have links to the old listings, but they do not have photos, just the write ups.  Let me know.

isn't there a way to go back to old sites? Someone did it here years ago. Be great if anyone does know. In the meantime I'll look around.

PS this seems to be it, to delve deeply maybe a subscription is required? I was able to view forum posts from 1998, with the venerable Mr Perrone still at the helm of 1/24!

@geoff-jowett

That's it Geoff, The Wayback Machine. It takes a subscription to access it but it is not all inclusive. Some have the reviews, no photos and others have no reviews at all. There are lists of DM and FM cars, John N., I have most of those, but no reviews or photos with them.

Here are the link I use and I can see all the reviews.  Pictures just don't show up.

You would use it just like the old days and pick what manufacturer you want to see.  I hope this helps.

thanks John, 1773 pages of diecast model reviews, what an incredible resource. Pics are there on the last couple of pages, I did not go further back at this time.
