We had a short but steep driveway. I would set mine on fire and roll them down the hill.

@jkuvakas Sometines I'd set them on fire with an imbedded firecracker. Once they "detonated" the fire would be blown out and pieces would cool in warped shapes. Good for junkyard scenes.

I had a counselor...but he died...mysteriously...in a fire...while rolling down his driveway...then Harvey blew him up!

@jkuvakas  Hahaha.....I definitely do not want to know where he put the fireworks!  I would not have helped you guys because if we got caught mother would have put  me in that cage again.

All kidding aside...I guess he would have been quite cooked then.  Hmmm....I just got a craving for fava beans and a glass of chianti......

@mg-harv

I used many firecrackers on models and still have some of the firecrackers!

@jack-dodds I'm a retired fire protection engineer. A few of us were at a meeting once - a talk on juvenile fire setters. At a break we told old stories of our youth and decided there was some pyromania in all of us.

@mg-harv  Well Harv, every child needs a hobby and its not like pyromania is something that could get out of hand....like catching frogs in a jar or something.

Jack - I've never used the "Report" button on the lower right but I was tempted to report your incendiary post.  I decided not to, don't want you getting in trouble or anything...  🤪

@karl  Geez Karl, don't push THAT button; you'll only inflame the situation here...initially started, I might add,  by Harv "Blevy" Goranson and abetted by John "The Torch" Kuvakas.  I'm basically innocent really.  Don't drag those guys into this Karl; you'll ignite a firestorm that you can't imagine!!

Got this NEO Lincoln today on a deep discount, well you get what you pay for, it's pretty droopy at the rear.   Pondering what, if anything,  I can do to improve it.  It appears the body was simply cast incorrectly, not something that happened over time while the resin cured as the rocker panel is straight but the trunk lid definitely slopes down about 1/8th inch at the top of the fin.  So even if it was possible to somehow heat it and straighten it that would not correct the issue.  My next thought is to use a razor saw at the rear door joint and cut out a  small wedge and glue back together to eliminate at least some of the droop.  I do have it apart and this looks possible.  So I ask the brain trust here,  any suggestions?

1958 Lincoln #2

So the Lincoln was in and out of the body shop in 48 hours and repaired.   Simply disassembled,  then using an ultra fine blade in a jeweler's saw I cut the model in half at the rear door seam after removing the inner door cards which popped right off.   Then cut a small wedge shaped piece out of this cut.  Glued together with a touch of J B Weld.  Had to shim the resin base plate as it too was warped.   Reassembled and reattached a few loose pieces like the sill moldings, touched in a bit of copper paint on the seam and done.   Saved....no firecracker destruction needed.
