Among the 1970 Ford Taunus range coupe version is the most beautiful in my opinion. I have wanted to add it to my collection for many years. Unfortunately, Minichamps model is a very expensive now and rather rare in our stores. The same is for the Maxichamps reissue but recently I've managed to buy it on aliexpress.
The model has a beautiful dark red color and vinyl roof. This is a maximal Ghia complectation.
In fact this model was released by Minichamps in 2000s when this manufcturer had a good time. That's why this miniature equipped with good details and its baseplate has really high level instead of flash parts on the many models.
Sadly, now Minichamps isn't active in 1/43 scale making only modern BMW and Porsche for dealers. Maxichamps range was born in 2016 to reissue old models and to make them cheaper a manufacturer refused of painting interior and some exterior elements. Quality is little worser than initial Minichamps.
Despite all these facts the 1970 Taunus Coupe is a very nice and neat model and fills important gap in collection. I condider it to be much better than resin models which occupy the most place in our collecting hobby today.
The Taunus is a nice looking car and so is the model.
Thanks Fred. Nice model despite a few detail omissions. I am sorry that Minichamps has declined. I have a lot in my collection but so far few Maxichamps.
