The Aston Martin Virage Volante debuted as 2+2 version at the 1991 Geneva Motor Show. Production examples, first appearing in 1992, were all to feature 2+2 seating. Sources state that either 224 or 233 examples had been produced when production ended in 1996.
In 1992 Aston Martin introduced its 6.3-litre "Works Service" package, which included wider fenders to accommodate the larger OZ wheels and 14-inch disc brakes, additional vents, deeper sills, and other appearance modifications. This was immediately available on the 2+2 Coupé . Aston Martin for the American market introduced a strictly cosmetic version called the Wide Body. This was mainly intended for the United States marketed as the 6.3. 13 of these were built for the United States.
I was presented a Provence Moulage built model of this 1992 Aston Martin Volante 6.3 on my retirement at the end of 1995. Here it is.

Provence Moulage has made some fine kits and cars over the years, and I think your wise workmates chose well. Good one! Thanks, David G., for presenting this to us, and best wishes on your continuing retirement. Isn't it a great time of life!!!

Nice gift - wish I had been given such on my retirement in 2019! Hope I'm still posting two dozen years from now!
