Albion Motors was a Scottish automobile and commercial vehicle manufacturer.  Founded n 1899, Albion Motors was purchased by Leyland Motors in 1951. Vehicles continued to be manufactured under the Albion brand until 1972, after which they continued to be produced, but were sold under the Leyland brand.  Vehicle production at the former Albion factory in the Scotstoun area of Glasgow, Scotland, continued until 1980.

What a nice gift! I have one Albion but it is a small scale Matchbox cement lorry, a 1958 FT37 Chieftan.

Thanks for the background on this Albion truck.  The model is a Corgi I assume in 1:50th scale.

A few more classic Leyland/BMC trucks,  a circa 1975 AEC Mandator, (also made as an Albion and Leyland) and a long running BMC,  Morris, Austin, Leyland and Sava FG truck with its unique floor level windows and angled doors.  And a heavy highway Leyland Marathon.  (built from an ASAM kit)

1975 AEC flat bed #2
1975 AEC flat bed
1973 AEC flat bed #1
1980 Leyland Marathon and trailer LH
1980 Leyland Marathon front
