Among other my purchasings on aliexpress is the 2016 Australian Ford Falcon FCX made by Biante. This model reproduces a racing car of V8 Supercars championship. I guess many teams take part in it though there is plethora of liveries which Australian manufacturers offer regulary.

I don't know much about Australian motorsport but hope to expand my knoweledge in this sphere. As to Australian cars I think this is a very interesting page of history.

The model was made by Biante in China but designed in Australia. This is high detailed and sophisticated diecast miniature which is a

very good because such great manufacturer as Trax now works only in resin  For a long time Biante has had collaboration with Autoart. Seversl years ago hobbu company Downies purchased it.

I hope our friends from Australia who read forum 43 will tell us many interesting facts about national model cars.

This looks like an exceptional 1/43 model of this V-8 supercar ! Well-done and in a dramatic livery and color-scheme here.

@michaeldetorrice There is plethora of V8 Supercars Fords and Holdens made in 1/43 scale by Biante and Classic Carlectables. Australian motorsport is a very specific but interedting topic. I bought this Falcon because collect all vehicles ever made by Ford Motor Company in 1/43 scale.

@karl In fact Australian cars and their 1/43 models are really very interesting. Such manufacturers as Trax, Biante, Classic Carlectables made very sophisticated and pretty 1/43 diecast models. For instance, miniatures of Trax Opal series had all opening elements.

In white metal segment I know Dinkum Classics, Big River Models, Kookaburra and something else( see my white metal list published in MAR online).

I hope to purchase someday in future 1960 Ford Falcon by Trax. In our country there are no choice of these models on the secondary market. So it's a Holy Grail for me.

It's an excellent model that scales out nicely to 1/43, nice color too.  I wish you luck on your quest!   😎 😎

Yes, Australian cars have been an interesting little "sideline" collecting activity for me as well over the years - mainly Trax plus a few Biante, Classic Carlectables and one or two minor players.

While UK and European toymakers were keen to give us models of cars from around the world, Australian model producers had a more parochial approach, with the emphasis being very much on "the Ozzie cars you love and grew up with", i.e. Fords, Holdens and Chryslers. Still, it opened up a whole new world of largely unknown vehicles, although quite a few of the cars were local versions of American compacts like the Falcon and Valiant, which counted as "full-size" cars for the average Australian (but some real "full-size" U.S. cars were also assembled in RHD form and Trax has recently done some of these very nicely, although American collectors seem to get overly upset about their almost-invisible steering wheels being on the wrong side.)

Anyway, I am rambling. Here a a few sets of random models from my own collection. The last set shows models from Trax's short-lived Opal series which Fred E. mentioned, with opening features and neat engine detailing. I really liked those, but they have now moved on to making sealed resin models only. Nice, but more expensive, with high shipping costs, so not something to be purchased as casually as the old "cheap and cheerful" Trax offerings.

Ah, yes, they do love their "utes"

Very well presented Graeme!

+ 1    👍

I have these in 1/18 scale....   OK, so there's a GTO in there, but remove the Corvette engine and put the steering wheel on the right and, well, it's a Holden!

There are number of these 1960 Falcon four door sedans on Ebay Australia currently.   See item 405524828349.  There are other colors as well.   And if a 1962 version would satisfy there are a number of these in the Edicola partworks series.  Check with a search on Ebay  USA.

@john-quilter There are many Falcons by Trax on ebay but I can't use any international service because of restrictions. Visa and Mastercard don't work in my country, so I can purchase models only on the inside market or aliexpress which works here. That's why will be vrry difficult to find this Falcon for me.
