A blistered Brooklin

Saw this model listed on eBay with absolutely no mention of the huge section of missing paint on the front fender. I’ve never seen this happen to a Brooklin before. Any ideas what caused it?

Randy, I had a similar loss of front fender paint on a much earlier Brooklin Chrysler Airflow which was knocked off a shelf and fell about four feet to a hardwood floor. No dent to the metal but similar paint loss.

It almost seems like some grease or fingerprints got in that place and that eventually paint would not properly adhere to that area. It's a great looking car so for the right price it is worth a repair, I would think.
