I was mucking about with a larger vignette, when this idea popped into my thoughts and while the glue was drying elsewhere I put it together.  It is just a bit of whimsy (yes, I used that word) and not meant to compare to the amazing dioramas produced by other members.  Unfortunately, I have come to the realization that I will not have the space to keep any of the dioramas I am preparing, so they will be disassembled after being photographed, as will this little offering.  Now to the story:

Matthias Hinkel had long been plagued with hunters coming into his pasture to menace his waterfowl and other sundry wildlife that lived in his forest and pond, at the foothills of the Alps.  He had rotated his cows from this pasture just a week earlier, which was common knowledge in the village of Kasprun, Austria, and this would be good news for hunters, as the grass would be low cut and make traversing the meadow to the forest much easier.  But, unbeknownst to anyone Matthias had purchased a young bull which his daughter had named Peanuts, though anyone who knew the young bull's history would likely find this humorous, for when displeased Peanuts had the temperament of a mule in the midst of a tequila enema and it took very little to set him off.  The pointer is doing exactly what he was trained to do, in spite of the scolding his master is laying on his head and we are left to wonder will the hunter heed his hound, or will it take a much greater force to help him understand his predicament?

Nothing wrong with the word 'whimsy'; it works wonderfully here! This whimsical diorama is grand! I can hear the dog's thoughts now - "Yeah, yeah, whatever, do you see me pointing? Just LOOK ya dunce!"

@perrone1  I bought the hunters and hound back when I acquired the Franay Hispano-Suiza and I had thought to pair them up.  But, the HP is so big it looked more like a truck next to these two and I decided I would do something else with the hunters.

Hunters & Hound by Noch.

Bull from China.

Very nice...Let's hope Peanuts doesn't charge the R-R shooting brake.
