As we launch into another new month, time is sure flying by.
This is one of my favorite models, unfortunately when I received it, I was disappointed to see NEO had put too thin of whitewall tires on it. Another set of more suited whitewalls solved the disappointment, and she is a gem.
While NEO can "hit or miss" on their models, this is one is definitely a hit. I love this one.
The Hudson marque has always been of interest in my life since my 1st "sit-in" in my grandfather's 1930 Hudson Touring. The car never ran in my younger life, but I remember visiting my Uncle Harold's house (dad's older brother) and sitting in the car that was stored in his garage, later when he moved to Michigan's Upper Peninsula, the car was moved to my Great Uncle Johnny's garage. I saw it there several times, but by now it was in pretty bad shape having been stored in one garage or another since 1944. There was always discussion of having the car restored, but money was always scarce, so it never happened. When my grandfather died in 1986 and a few months later, Uncle Johnny passed away too. My Uncle and my dad decided to sell it, continued storage was no longer an option. The sale was handled by the former Hudson Dealership in Ypsilanti, Mi. I was 25 then, and while cars were an important part of my life, the restoration of this one was way beyond my capabilities. I was sorry to see it go, but that car built the attachment and interest I developed for the Hudson marque.
In the 1:43 arena, there have been a decent selection of models available that cover the Hudson from the 30s to its end 1957. I added what I could, and I am thrilled with each one.
I never cared for the photos I took last year, so some reshoots were done-here they are.

So, John, did you ever follow up to find out what ultimately happened to the 1930 Hudson?

Great pictures of a great NEO model. I can't believe I missed this one.
All I know is that it was sold. It was in pretty rough shape, so whether it was ever restored or used for parts-I don't know.

Gorgeous model John. One that I don't have. A very unique color combination.
